*VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – PLEASE READ*
Hey Everyone,
It seems a shame to have to write this down and not tell it to each of your faces but I Dream In Colour have decided to discontinue.
It is not with regret or hard feelings; instead through our collective smiles at all that we have achieved, we simply feel that this has run its course.
Being a part of this band has been nothing but a wonderful experience from start to finish. We feel very fortunate to have experienced all that we have in the past few years. However despite all its majesty; the sold-out shows, the love from our fans, the camaraderie, the stunning places we’ve been lucky enough to see and the INCREDIBLE people we’ve met along the way, for some of us, there are certain things that are left behind which make us consider a life outside of I Dream In Colour.
You dream and you dream of being in a successful, touring band. But something that takes a little longer to grasp is the sacrifice that you are required to make to succeed. The time away from home, the inability to make plans outside of the band and of course, the people you leave behind when you’re out on the road. It’s something that perhaps takes musicians by surprise; the closer you get to making life as a working musician a reality.
But this is something that happens to a lot of bands and a lot of musicians and it’s a decision and a realisation that has to be accepted with the upmost respect. We remain the closest of friends and we’ll be holding these memories close to our chest for the rest of our lives. Not just the Hyde Parks and the Cargo’s and the European hospitality; but the long drives, the stop and searches from European police, the hours of hard work in freezing cold rehearsal studios and the tour diet of microwavable rice and warm cans of low quality lager. For once again, this whole experience has been a magical and sincerely unforgettable one.
I would also like to take this opportunity and hope that you’ll join me in congratulating Pete on his marriage and news that he and his wife are expecting their first child.
We wish Steve all the best as he makes arrangements to see the world and Mike, well he doesn’t need a band to be a rock star. He just is one.
As for me, well I’m sure it’ll come as no surprise that I’ll be continuing to make music. For I still have the same desire, passion, energy and belief for this path, that I had when I was 11 years old and my Parent’s bought me my first acoustic guitar and I played it until my fingers bled.
Whilst the dust settles here, I’ll be keeping my head down in a studio working on a record of my own. Some of the songs I wrote for I Dream In Colour, I’ll still be bringing to the surface. At the end of last year we started work on a record that we are all very proud of. Some of those songs are unheard and it would be heart breaking for them not to see the light of day. So watch this space.
When the time is right, you’ll hearing from me again. In the mean time I’ll be posting the occasional murmurings here:

I’m sure for some of you this has come as a complete shock; but for us, this has been an emotional but amicable and natural ending to a very special part of our lives. Now it’s time for the next chapter.
Lastly and most importantly, none of the incredible moments that we have experienced would’ve been possible without you, our fans. The words do not even begin to exist when it comes to thanking you for the support and the love that you have been so passionate in showing us. What we leave behind is all for you. It’s yours now.
Thank you for believing in us; for listening to our music and coming to ours shows. Thanks for sticking around to talk to us; it was a pleasure meeting every single one of you.
To all the people behind the scenes that worked so hard for us. You know who you are we love you for it.
I could go on all night. But I won’t, for I have songs to finish.
We’ll see you around. From the bottom of our hearts, thanks again. It took more than London to fill this place… it took you lot.
